Steamadons are large creatures native to The Distillery. When startled, they unleash a burst of steam that obscures vision for anyone passing through it. Steam does not obscure the monsters sense of smell. These creatures are usually seen wandering in small groups.

Buffs[]
The Elite Steamadon provides a 3 second slowing debuff to the monster's basic attacks and to the hunters' weapons (energy and explosive weapons do apply this - but deployables do not, such as mines or sentries). Hunters affected by this buff's slowing effect cannot sprint and have 90% reduced jetpack thrust (jetpack dodging is not affected). Monsters affected by this buff's slowing effect are slowed by 50%. Hunters cannot stack this buff. This buff lasts 5 minutes.
